This post concludes the 3 part NY Challenge video series.

Fun fact: I did this challenge right after finishing my hotdog challenge (NY Challenge #2).

My final New York challenge was a bit of a toughie to say the least.

Firstly, I’m not a dancer. At most, I wiggle in clubs when the music drops.

Secondly, the challenge involved a higher form of public humiliation. Singing in Times Square did too (NY Challenge #1), but to a lesser extent. I kept thinking to myself, “I am only one person in the world’s busiest city that’s half way across the world from where I live – no one could care less.” At least that’s what I thought… (you might like to pause at 2:30)

And finally, Celine Dion’s hit ballad would normally require extraordinary skills of suspended leg extensions and mid-air splits to be regarded as really ‘dancing to’. A contemporary song means a contemporary dance. I can’t even touch my toes without bending my knees.

Despite that, a challenge is a challenge and I did what I had set out to do.

I’ve learnt that backing down means running away from your fear, and overcoming the fear is the fastest way to grow.

Though the only thing I think I grew here is a set of sweaty balls and a broken appetite for hotdogs.

Thanks for all the support! Love you guys.
